Pier Paolo Bertoli

I´m a Berlin-based musician and composer specialized in piano and accordion. I´ve been active as a musician for over a decade now and participated in concerts and theater shows across Europe.

My music and compositions are inspired by Jazz, Brazilian and Black Atlantic Music as well as from the European songwriting tradition. In the last years i´ve been as well expolring electro-acoustic music by experimenting with samplers and the alterations of the sound of the accordion.

I´ve learned composition with Tilmann Dehnhard, studied Accordion Pedagogy at Honer Konservatorium Trossingen and Jazz music with Julia Huelsmann and Tino Derado at the University of Arts in Berlin.
I´ve performed at notable venues and festivals in Germany and Europe, including Fusion Festival (DE), Aurillac (FR), Festa do Avante (PT), Grips Theater (DE), Sisyphos Club (DE), Buskers Bern (CH), Ofca (PL), Volksbühne (DE) and more.
 

By now I´ve released two albums featuring many compositions of mine, two E.P., two books of accordion scores on Brazilian and Italian music and a book of poetry in my mother tongue Italian. I´ve written music for theater and soundwalks. I´ve participated as a guest in several records and I´m working now on the release of a new album.
